As a trained and certified sleep consultant, I help families to get the sleep they need.
Children need long and restful sleep for their physical and mental well-being.
Parents need enough sleep to be able to be the best parent they can possible be.
This is my approach:
1. Important Background Knowledge
I will first explain why sleep is so important for your child's well-being and how it works. This knowledge will motivate you to make changes to your child's sleep habits.
2. Individual Sleep Plan
You will then get an easy-to-follow, step-by-step plan that lets you make some choices about what is the right approach for your child. All children are different, and nobody knows your child better than you do. I encourage you to use your knowledge of your child to customize the sleep plan.
3. Support along the way
During the introduction of the new sleep plan, I am by your side, encouraging you and telling you what to expect. We will be in contact every day throughout the programme and work closely together so that we can immediately modify the plan if necessary and react to special circumstances.
The Sleep Sense™ Method
The Sleep Sense™ Method was created out of a strong belief that healthy sleep habits make for healthy children. Research has shown how important sleep is for a child's development. A well-rested child is curious, energetic, happy, playful, and eager to learn. Unfortunately, many families do not prioritize sleep. On the contrary, many parents are willing to make a lot of sacrifices when it comes to their children's sleep. However, a sufficient amount of sleep is just as important for our children as a healthy and balanced diet.
My name is Kati and I work as a trained and certified sleep consultant for babies and toddlers in Frankfurt, Germany.
As mother of a little boy I know what sleep deprivation means and I have personally felt how exhausting and nerve-racking that can be. Before I got to know the Sleep Sense™ method my son Carlo used to sleep no more than three hours at a time. My husband and I had to get up several times during the night to give him back his pacifier. As a result the days were long and tiring and our nerves were severely strained.
